We are looking for an exceptional data analyst who can perform in a dynamic & fact paced environment, who has the ability to collect relevant data for forecasting & analysis, and who can work closely with cross functional teams to join us as Capacity Planning Analyst, WW Customer Service Capacity Planning & Optimization team. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables him/her to manage data requirements, metrics reporting and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Kindle related customer service initiatives. He/she will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work with multiple Kindle business teams, CS Operations, CS Finance, CS Tech, Program management and Metrics Management. He/she will:

  • Understand the current CS Data warehouse tables structure and ETL jobs which are used for kindle contact forecasting and analysis
  • Proficient in retrieving and handling large datasets using SQL, PL/SQL, excel and other data management systems
  • Monitor and maintain periodic ETL jobs in local data mart to ensure correct data availability
  • Suggest and implement improvements in existing ETL jobs and table structures that can increase the effectiveness of contact forecasting team
  • Ensure and validate data integrity across different data tables especially during any business changes including new kindle products and marketplace launch
  • Resolve issues related to any data inconsistency by systematically escalating it to relevant teams and follow through on the resolution provided
  • Understand input data needs to identify data sources which are relevant to forecasting team and bring relevant data to local data mart
  • Create and present periodic forecasting performance reports to business facing teams
  • Work closely with CS BI team to include forecasting plans and performance reporting into central dashboard
  • Represent WWCP (WW Capacity Planning) team in Kindle and other team meetings

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in a technical or analytical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or related field)
  • 3+ years of hands on experience in data analysis is required, working with data warehouses and SQL developer
  • Proficient in composition of SQL, PL-SQL queries and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (ability to present detailed technical analysis, assumptions, and recommendations succinctly)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytics experience with big data is preferred
  • Experience with making large scale optimization and predictive models is preferred
  • Some programming experience is a plus to automate tools whenever appropriate
  • Experience utilizing SQL and VBA
  • This is a global role where key stakeholders are spread across geography/time zones. Concerned individual should be motivated/flexible enough to work in US/Europe day time (India Night hours)
