This position is responsible for supporting operations management, managing and executing activities related to: planning, organizing, reporting, tools, systems, processes, and communications. This position is responsible for ensuring that the analyst activities are supporting organization goals. This position supports a number of ‘stakeholders’, including; sales, marketing, support, and the business units.
Responsibilities
- Primary Emphasis is: Business Intelligence and Statistical Models
- Proven experience with analyzing and mining business data using statistical algorithms preferably using tools like “R”, “Python”, and/or Java, etc. (ability to churn out actionable insights is only important given time and data constraints)
- Functional knowledge in Sales or/and Marketing operations as well as Systems knowledge (e.g. CRM, Transaction, PRM, etc.) will be a plus
- Good communication is must & cannot be compromised
- Learning attitude, and greater sense of urgency, and Team play are must to have feats
- Coding skills –preferably in java would be a great plus! (70% – Technical and 30% – Business exposure would be an ideal mix!)
- Engineering/Mathematical/Statistical base degree with sort of an MBA will be desirable as far as academic background is concerned
Qualification and Skills Required
- Ability to make independent decisions using sound business judgment.
- Ability to interact across all field facing management teams.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Self starter with strong organizational skills and ability to evaluate and report on a variety of sales related data.
- Ability to understand business needs, consistently meet expectations and respond promptly and professionally to business requests or inquiries, seeking guidance as appropriate.
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel.
- Typically 5 or more years of experience in Reporting, BI, or operations, preferably in the Information Technology sector
