Job Description:

Support our Global Compensation and Benefits strategy by supporting the development, implementation and administration of compensation and benefits programs and policies. Provide analytical and other professional level support on regional compensation and benefit programs, processing and other related initiatives, with a focus on South Asia & South Africa. Serve as compensation and benefits analyst to HR Business Partners. Monitors the industry and external market and provide analysis on the impact of relevant developments in the compensation and benefits arena. Participates in special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Compensation:

  • Analyzes compensation data, monitors on-line completion of compensation processes, and creates reports and analyses to evaluate pay competitiveness and pay equity, gathers and analyzes data for special projects such as external audits or internal pay planning
  • Maintain market benchmarking system for assigned countries. Conduct analyses of jobs, base salaries and incentives to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of Material Group Asia Pacific pay practices. Key member of annual compensation market benchmarking exercise and assessment. Partner with country human resources to present findings
  • Key team member in the Annual Salary Compensation Process. Provides direct support to Regional and Global total rewards team members. Plays a major role in this year-end compensation planning process for business segments and the overall organization
  • Support the development of both sales and non-sales incentive compensation programs, including documentation, eligibility, tracking within HRIS system, and working with Finance for budgeting
  • Keep HR Business Partners informed of plan, program and/or administrative changes
  • Participates in total remuneration surveys and analyzes the survey results to determine the competitiveness of the company’s compensation and benefit package

Benefits:

  • Provide ongoing support in the Benefit Renewal Process, market competitive analysis, training and communication, and project management of all supplemental benefit programs in Asia Pacific
  • Monitor benefits programs for competitiveness in the local markets and propose scalable and cost-advantageous improvements; research trends, practices, processes and costs on an ongoing basis
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Asia Pacific supplemental benefit programs
  • Partner with country human resources and vendor in assessing, tracking and monitoring benefit costs

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or comparable area of study
  • 3-5 years Compensation and Benefit experience in Asia Pacific
  • Strong analytical skills with solid financial acumen required in order to gather and summarize data for reports and provide findings and recommendations. High detail orientation
  • Experience in partnering with members of the human resources team on compensation and benefit programs and initiatives
  • Team player with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Creative thinking, with an eye towards continuous improvement
  • Flexibility, results orientation, willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • A high degree of human relation skills are required to deal with confidential and sensitive situations and to maintain positive relations with other areas of the company
  • Demonstrated fluency in computer software applications in spreadsheets (Excel – Advanced Skills), word processing (Word), presentation (PowerPoint) and human resource management system
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically throughout the year
