Responsibilities

• Develop, improve and systemize crisp & accurate reporting and analysis. Streamline processes and identify/execute on automation and time-saving opportunities to reduce non-value added work.
• Ensure business decisions are sound and data-driven. Work with management and data warehouse teams as well as business end users to understand reporting and alalysis requirements
• Drive reporting excellence at eBay to enable the analytics community to communicate business performance in a clear and insightful way to the business to facilitate timely and informed decision making
• Analyze eBay’s large and rich datasets; drive insights from the fact base to improve the user experience through eBay’s large and rich datasets
• Work cross-functionally with other analytics teams as well as product and business teams to provide ad hoc analytic support for senior management
• Coordinate with a team of analytical reporting excellence professionals in India, and coordinate with other analytics excellence leaders around the globe

Qualification and Skills Required

• At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics, including at least 2 years in the online industry
• Understand the general e-Commerce indutry business model, preferably with marketing & merchandising experience. Online CRM would be an advantage.
• Experience in analyzing large, multi-dimensional datasets (SQL) and extracting insights from diversified data/results
• Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, working knowledge of SAS or R.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines in a dynamic/changing environment
• High energy, strong work ethic, willingness to do “whatever it takes” to get to the results
• Candidate should have the capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and translate them into relevant quantitative analyses to inform direction and strategy.
• Team player with partnering and collaboration skills
