Job description:
MasterCard Data Warehouse has recently implemented the Microsoft Business Intelligence Toolset in support of a business intelligence strategy. This represents the complete stack of capabilities including: SQL Server 2012, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Reporting Services, SharePoint 2013, Excel Services and PowerPivot services.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall architecture and design leadership on development projects, production issues, and maintenance ensuring quality across staff and contractors
- Provide architecture and technical solutions utilizing the Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack to create analytical and visualization solutions in support of business initiatives
- Research on current and alternative technologies and application appropriate frameworks to provide recommendations on solutions for changing business needs
- Identification and creation of tabular and/or multi-dimensional models in support of business initiatives
- Creating ETL processes to populate and sustain the data models
- Architect reporting, data visualization, self-service Business Intelligence including analytics and dashboard solutions
- Define and collaborate standards of governance surrounding the business intelligence solutions
- Assist with roadmap of analysis and integration services to sustain a scalable environment and provide liaison and support to the technology and business organizations supporting and/or utilizing the business intelligence infrastructure
- Mentor and lead technical team with similar skill set
Qualification and Skills Required
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis services (SSAS) Tabular modeling
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) package creation and data integration with SQL Server
- SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS)
- Hands on experience on Report builder, Power View, Excel Services
- Exposure to SharePoint
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated experience working with data security and fine grained user access of data repositories
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and business teams
- High-energy, detailed-oriented, proactive and able to function under pressure in an independent environment along with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills required with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships
- Experience working with large data repositories
- Creation/maintenance of source data stores
- Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Multi-dimensional cubes
- Demonstrated ability to trouble-shoot and support business intelligence applications
- The following experience would be a plus: Data Modeling , Microsoft DAX and MDX, Oracle and Netezza data repositories, Cloudera Hadoop, SQL Server Reporting Services, and/or Financial Services industry experience
