Description
- In this exciting position, you will have opportunities to explore different data sources and different models across Equifax to validate and monitor its performance.
- Work with credit file raw components/trades to create score attributes, testing attribution significance through different statistical techniques.
- Automate and streamline the model monitoring process to ensure efficiency and enable quick completion time.
- Use different statistical techniques to understand model performance and to check the stability of the model.
- Maintain existing models and perform analysis to determine value and stability.
- Create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each model validation.
- Work with attributes team and support attributes validation.
- Manipulate large amount of data and integrate diverse data sources into solutions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within entire Analytics group.
- Perform QA/audits surrounding implementation of products and analytic solutions.
Qualification and Skills Required
- 1-3 years of experience working with analytics in a business environment.
- Extensive knowledge of model development, validation, scoring and implementation best practices.
- Ability to apply analytical rigor to Verticals Markets- Auto, Communications, Mortgage, Payments, Retail Banking and Insurance.
- Demonstrate understanding of machine learning algorithms is a plus.
- 1-3 years of SAS programming in an analytics or database management capacity.
- Excellent SAS programming skills in SAS Macro language and Analytics, Base SAS, SAS/?STAT, SAS/?GRAPH. SAS certification is a plus.
- Experience with SAS and with UNIX environment is preferred.
- Experience with R/WPS/S-Plus/SPSS and other statistical packages a plus.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- C++/SQL/JAVA programming a plus.
- Experience in the credit, fraud and/or marketing analytics arena is preferred.
- Understanding, design and development experience in SAS base.
- Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of credit bureau, macroeconomic, housing and/or demographic data is preferred.
- Detail oriented with ability to accurately gather and analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple departments in solving cross-departmental issue.
- Ability to clearly present statistical solutions to non-statistical people.
- Ability to create new ideas for statistical solutions to customer’s business issues.
- Manipulate large amount of data and integrate diverse data sources into solutions.
