Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) MN Anucheth detailed the app’s capabilities, which include congestion alerts, incident reporting through a mobile application bot, special event management, and dashboard analytics. ASTraM’s real-time congestion alerts, issued every 15 minutes, are integrated with the e-attendance system. The app’s dashboard analytics feature analyzes traffic volume, congestion length, vehicle count, and type, enabling the Bengaluru Traffic Police to make informed decisions for efficient traffic management.

Incident Reporting, Event Management, and Ambulance Tracking

The app introduces a BOT service for incident reporting, allowing authorized sources to report field incidents, and providing real-time updates to the public. It also includes special event management, maintaining a log of major events in the city for spatial understanding and response planning. The ambulance tracking application ensures coordinated movement, with the control room monitoring ambulances and providing real-time updates on routes and traffic conditions.
