IoT is about harmonizing the way humans and machines connect using common public services. Connecting things, people and cloud services results in new use cases, best-in-class user experience and business models. This talk will focus on “IoT as an enabling technology – not a market”. Analog Sensing, Digital Processing, Connectivity and Security are four pillars of this technology. These important paradigms are propelling a revision and debate of important issues and themes involving architectures, Software Models, deep learning, machine vision and connectivity but harvesting power and extending battery life is the epicenter of this emerging wave of IoT. Last but not the least, complexity is the challenge but making it available with ease of use to everyone is an opportunity.
